A long-standing partnership with Minor Hotels evolves into a comprehensive end-to-end technology deployment, combining digital hospitality solutions with a high-performance GPON fiber optic infrastructure across the entire resort.
Tivoli Estela Golf & Lodges is a new luxury resort concept from Minor Hotels, located in PĆ³voa de Varzim, on Portugalās northern coast near Porto. Designed to offer a premium leisure experience, it combines accommodation, wellness, sports, and lifestyle services in a unique coastal setting.
As a technology partner of Minor Hotels, Nonius was selected to deliver a fully integrated digital infrastructure for the resort, ensuring a guest experience and operational backbone fully aligned with the groupās high hospitality and technology standards.
The project covers a wide range of resort facilities, including 80 lodges and apartments, 18-hole golf course, restaurant, bars, outdoor pools, 2 padel courts, wellness centre, kids club, and other public spaces, all connected through a robust and scalable technology ecosystem.

The Solution: End-to-End Integrated Technology by Nonius
Nonius designed and deployed a comprehensive technology platform combining guest entertainment, connectivity, communications, and infrastructure solutions across the entire resort.
TV & Streaming
The resort was equipped with:
- TV & Streaming: Interactive in-room entertainment platform, embedded on LG Hospitality TVs, delivering hotel information, branded content, and seamless access to streaming applications and Cast functionality.
- TV Headend: Centralised content distribution system ensuring reliable delivery of live TV channels and curated content across all rooms with high stability and quality.
Wi-Fi & Netwerken
To ensure high-performance connectivity throughout the property, Nonius deployed:
- Wi-Fi & Networks: Enterprise-grade wireless and switching infrastructure based on RUCKUS technology, delivering high-performance, secure and scalable connectivity across the entire resort, including indoor and outdoor areas.
- Internet Access: Guest Internet Access platform providing secure, seamless and fully managed connectivity with authentication, bandwidth control and a consistent branded login experience across the property.
Voice & Communications
Nonius also implemented the resortās Voice solution, ensuring reliable internal and guest communications fully integrated with the propertyās operational infrastructure.
GPON Fiber Optic Infrastructure
At the core of the project is a robust GPON fiber optic network infrastructure designed to support all resort services with maximum scalability and efficiency.
The deployment included:
- GPON Network architecture
- Fiber optic cabling infrastructure
- CCTV network integration
- Centralized network management
This architecture provides high availability, optimized bandwidth distribution, simplified infrastructure management, and future-ready scalability for upcoming technologies and services.
