nhow Marseille updates Guest Technology

As an approved technology partner of NH Hotel Group, Nonius was selected to equip nhow Marseille with a comprehensive suite of guest-facing technology solutions, enhancing the guest experience and optimising hotel operations.

Located in one of the Mediterranean’s most stunning bays, nhow Marseille is an iconic property under the NH Hotel Group, part of Minor Hotels. Renowned for its unique blend of modern design and traditional charm. Overlooking the Frioul Islands and the Chateau d’If, this hotel is not only a haven for leisure travellers but also a premier destination for business events, offering one of the largest meeting and event venues in Marseille.

The challenge

nhow Marseille decided to upgrade its in-room entertainment and communication systems to meet the ever-increasing demands of modern travellers. However, the hotel faced a significant challenge of implementing these upgrades without disrupting day-to-day operations and guest experience. The existing systems had to remain functional throughout the installation process, ensuring uninterrupted service for guests during the transition.

The solutions installed

To address these challenges, Nonius deployed a comprehensive suite of solutions, carefully planned and executed to ensure a smooth implementation:

Interactive TV: Installed on Samsung TVs, it features a high-definition interface that aligns with the hotel’s brand standards, offering guests flexible options for content, information, and entertainment.

Cast: Guests can now stream their personal content directly from their devices to the in-room TVs, allowing them to watch their favourite series and movies using their own content provider subscriptions, mimicking the home experience.

Headend: Delivers a wide selection of free-to-air and operator TV channels, ensuring guests have a carefully selected set of live TV channels available while optimising the hotel’s operational cost.

Digital Signage: The meeting rooms area is equipped with 12 TV screens serving 14 meeting rooms. These screens deliver real-time updates on events, meeting schedules, and hotel promotions, ensuring guests stay informed and engaged.

Network Infrastructure: Upgraded with cloud-managed Cambium Switches and integrated with the existing SFR Wi-Fi equipment, ensuring a reliable and high-performance connectivity infrastructure to support the multiple IP solutions installed, without compromising the Guest Wi-Fi service across the property.

The Results

The project was executed successfully, with Nonius solutions integrated seamlessly without any disruption to the hotel’s operations. The old system was phased out smoothly, allowing the hotel to maintain its high standard of guest service throughout the migration.
